As a colossal monster devours a fading world, a fiercely determined wanderer offers an outcast a chance at hope when she enlists him in her struggle to save what light must remain.

Locke starved for belonging, living like a weed unwanted in its garden. In heeding Strike’s call for aid, he finds glimmers of the first real purpose he’s ever felt, making hers his own. However, to bear the light amid the coming darkness is a yoke heavier upon his shoulders than he could’ve ever imagined, and to stand firm beneath its weight will require a foundation firmer than he’s ever known.
